This week's update adds two new protections against spam and people hiding their identity, fixes /ban and /unban, and fixes several smaller bugs.
NEW: Block posts made as a channel
Members can post "as a channel" to hide who they are. Telegram never shows bots the person behind it, so Enforcer acts on the channel instead.
Turn it on in /menu → Group → Block channel posts. When it is on, a message posted as a channel is deleted and that channel is banned from the group.
Anonymous admins, your group's linked channel and channels you allow are not affected.
• /allowchannel – let a channel post (reply to its post, or give its ID or @username)
• /disallowchannel – remove a channel from the allowed list
• /allowedchannels – see the allowed channels
Enforcer needs the "Delete messages" and "Ban users" rights for this.
NEW: Block inline bots
Stop members sending content through inline bots like @gif, without turning off GIFs or stickers for everyone.
• /blockinline @gif – delete everything sent via @gif
• /blockinline /^spam/ – block every bot whose username matches a pattern
• /unblockinline – remove an entry
• /blockedinline – see the list
Admins and users excluded with /disablewatch are not affected. Enforcer needs the "Delete messages" right.
FIXED: /ban and /unban
• /ban now works when you reply to a message posted as a channel, and bans the channel. /unban lifts it again. Both also accept a channel ID.
• /unban now always replies: unbanned, not banned, or what went wrong. Before, it often did nothing.
• Banning someone who was already tempbanned now stays permanent. Before, they were let back in when the tempban ran out.
Other fixes
• Blocking GIFs in the media settings works again, and so does the GIF exception in the flood settings.
• If Enforcer can't forward a reported message to the admins, the admins still see what the reporter wrote.
• Log channel entries now show the group name, the affected user and which button an admin pressed.
• Help is now available for every command, including /mute, /tempmute, /unmute, /prewarn, /info and /settempmutetime. Try /help followed by a command name.
